You finish a lesson feeling as though something has finally clicked. Your coach gives you a useful correction, your horse responds, and you know what you want to practise next time.

Then the week gets busy. By your next ride, you remember the feeling, but perhaps not the exact exercise or the words your coach used. You may also be wondering whether what you felt in the saddle matched what your horse was doing.

That is the thinking behind bringing EQ Saddle-Clip, EQ Coach-Copilot and Rider Reflections together. Each adds a different part of the story. You can use them individually, but when you connect them, you have more to draw on when you look back at a ride and plan the next one.

First, see what happened with EQ Saddle-Clip

We all develop a feel for our horses, but feel is only one part of the picture. EQ Saddle-Clip records your horse’s movement during a ride and gives you data to review afterwards, including gait, rhythm, transitions and symmetry.

That can help you notice patterns across your training. Perhaps you felt that one rein was harder today, or you want to check how much work you did in each gait. The data gives you something specific to explore, alone or with your coach. It does not replace your judgement or your horse’s behaviour. It gives you another useful perspective.

If you already ride with Saddle-Clip, this is the part of Equestic you know. The next two parts help you keep hold of the learning around those numbers.

Next, remember the lesson with EQ Coach-Copilot

A coach can say something that changes an exercise completely. Remembering that exact instruction once you are back on your own is much harder.

EQ Coach-Copilot captures the lesson and creates a structured summary, so you can return to the exercises, corrections and priorities you discussed. Instead of trying to reconstruct the whole session from memory, you have a record to revisit before your next ride.

When your Saddle-Clip account is connected and a ride is recorded during the lesson, its movement data can be brought into Coach-Copilot too. That puts the coach’s guidance alongside information about what happened during the ride.

Then, add your own perspective with Rider Reflections

Some of the most useful thoughts arrive after you have untacked. That transition felt better than it has in weeks. I lost the rhythm when I started thinking too much. I want to ask my coach about that next time.

Rider Reflections, within EQ Coach-Copilot, gives you a quick way to capture those thoughts as a voice note after a ride or groundwork session. The app turns the note into a structured memo in your horse’s training diary.

You do not need to write a perfect report. Say what you noticed while it is fresh. Your perspective belongs alongside the lesson and the movement data, because no sensor or summary can tell the whole story of what the ride felt like to you.

What does that look like in practice?

Imagine you are working on more consistent transitions. During a lesson, your coach gives you a cue that makes a real difference. Coach-Copilot helps you revisit that cue. Saddle-Clip gives you movement information from the ride. Afterwards, you record a Rider Reflection about when the transition felt easier and what you want to repeat.

Before your next session, you can look back at all three. You have the coach’s words, information from the ride and your own observations. That gives you a clearer starting point for practising and a more useful conversation with your coach.

As FEI Grand Prix rider Thamar Zweistra says of having lesson information together, “Having everything available in one place makes it easier to stay on track.”

Start with the part you already use

You do not need to change everything about the way you ride. If you already use EQ Saddle-Clip, try adding a reflection after your next ride. If you have a lesson coming up, explore how EQ Coach-Copilot can help you return to what your coach taught you.

The aim is simple: keep more of what happened, what you learned and what you felt, so your next ride begins with a clearer picture.
